Kingsnakes are a type of colubrid snake that are members of the Lampropeltis genus, which also includes the milk snake. Lampropeltis means "shiny shield" (from Greek λαμπρος, "shine" + πελτα, "small shield"), due to their dorsal scales. The majority of kingsnakes have quite vibrant patterns on their skin. Adults can reach a length of 5 feet.

The first snake that I spent alot of money on many years ago was an Albino Califorina Kingsnake. Ever since there has been a place in my heart and my collection for kingsnakes from California to Florida.

They make great pets but are a little nervous as babies. As their name implies, the King will eat other snakes. So NEVER house kingsnakes togther.
