The milk snake (Lampropeltis triangulum; is a species of kingsnake. There are 25 subspecies among the milk snakes, including the commonly named Honduran Milk Snake (L. t. hondurensis). The subspecies have strikingly different appearance, and many of them have their own common names. Some authorities suggest that this species may be split into several separate species. They are distributed from southeastern Canada, through most of the continental United States, to Central America, down to western Ecuador and northern Venezuela of northern South America. They grow 20 to 60 inches long.
The Honduran Milksnakes is currently the only species of milksnake we are working with at this time. I believe the Honduran ranks only behind corn snakes amongst colubrids in the wide range of amazing colors that are available to work with. Below are just a sample on color morphs now available in the world of snake
This year is a rebuilding year for my hondurans. I highly recommend checking out www.thoroughbredexotics.com for all your honduran needs. Joe Exposito consistantly produces some of the nicest hondurans in the country.
